देवजीभाई महेश्वरी की पार्थिव शरीर मंगलवार 29 सितंबर 2020 को पांचवें दिन निकली. उनके शव को
फूलों से सुशज्जित किया गया और पंचशील से ढंका गया. इस अंतिम यात्रा में देवजी भाई
अमर रहे के नारों के साथ मूलनिवासी बहुजनों का जनसैलाब उमड़ पड़ा. लाखों लोगों के
बीच अंतिम यात्रा उनके निवास स्थान से रापर के सनोसरा से होते हुए गुड़थर, चितौड, सांख्याली, भचाऊ अबडासार (अडासा-नलिया), अंजार, भुज, गांधीधाम, लखपत, मांडवी, मुद्रा, नखत्राणा पहुंची. फिर यहां से
अंतियात्रा मतियादेव पहुंची, जहां उनका अंतिम संस्कार किया गया. लाखों लोगों ने भावभीनी अदरांजली दी.

से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, जिस चौक
पर एड़ देवजी भाई महेश्वरी की हत्या की गई उस चौक का नाम ‘‘वीर शहीद देवजी भाई
चौक’’ रखा गया. सूत्रों ने बताया कि बामसेफ एवं इंडियन लीगल प्रोफेशनल एसोसिएशन के
कार्यकर्ताओं ने कहा, जब तक
आरोपियों को फांसी की सजा नहीं हो जाती है तब यह आंदोलन जारी रहेगा. यह केवल
गुजरात के रापर के ही वकील की हत्या नहीं हुई, बल्कि देश के वकीलों की हत्या हुई है.
उन्होंने कहा यह आंदोलन अभी शांत नहीं हुआ है, हम लोग इस आंदोलन को न्याय मिलने तक
जारी रखेंगे. उन्होंने देशभर के वकीलों से अपील करते हुए कहा कि कोई भी वकील
देवजीभाई के हत्यारों की केस नहीं लड़ेगा.
बता दें
कि 25 सितंबर 2020 को शाम 6 बजे ब्राह्मणों ने एड.देवजीभाई
महेश्वरी की चाकू गोदकर हत्या कर दी. रापर थोने में रात को तकरीबन 1.5 बजे 9 हत्यारोपियों के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज हुआ
और मांग की गई कि आरोपियों को जल्द से जल्द गिरफ्तार किया जाए. पुलिस ने सुबह तक
आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार करने का आश्वासन दिया. लेकिन, 24 घंटे से ज्यादा हो जाने के बाद भी
आरोपी गिरफ्तार नहीं हो सके. पुलिस प्रशासन की ढीली रवैया देख बामसेफ, भारत मुक्ति मोर्चा, बहुजन क्रांति मोर्चा, इंडियन लीगल प्रोफेशनल एसोसिएशन, भारतीय विद्यार्थी मोर्चा सहित सैकड़ों
संगठनों ने पूरे गुजरात में उग्र प्रदर्शन शुरू कर दिया.
देवीजीभाई
की पत्नी ने पति का शव लेने से इनकार कर दिया और हजारों कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ 25 सितंबर की रात से ही कच्छ जिले के रापर
पुलिस स्टेशन पर धरने पर बैठी रहीं. मीनाक्षी बेन बार-बार कहती रहीं कि जब तक
उन्हें न्याय नहीं मिलेगा, जब तक 9 आरोपी गिरफ्तार नहीं होंगे तब न तो मैं
पति का शव लूंगी और न ही यहां से जाउंगी. सुबह होते ही यह आंदोलन पूरे गुजरात में
फैल गया और उग्र होने लगा. उग्र आंदोलन को देखते हुए पुलिस प्रशासन दबाव आई और
चौथे दिन रात तक यानी 28 सितंबर को
9 आरोपी गिरफ्तार हुए. इसके बाद पांचवें
दिन देवजी भाई के शव को स्वीकार किया गया और कच्छ के 10 तहसीलों में अंतिम यात्रा निकाली गई, जिसमें लाखों लोग शामिल हुए. @Nayak1

The mortal remains of senior BAMCEF activist and state president of
Indian Legal Professional Association, Adv Devjibhai Maheshwari, came out for
the fifth day on Tuesday, 29 September 2020. His body was decorated with
flowers and covered with Panchsheel. In this last yatra, with the slogans of
Devji Bhai Amar Rahe, the populace of the indigenous Bahujans rose. The last
journey among lakhs of people reached Gudthar, Chitaud, Sankhali, Bhachau
Abadasar (Adasa-Naliya), Anjar, Bhuj, Gandhidham, Lakhpat, Mandvi, Mudra,
Nakhatrana via Sanosara in Rapar from their place of residence. Then the
funeral procession reached Matiyadev from here, where he was cremated. Millions
of people gave emotional expressions.
According to information received from sources, the square on which the
Adv Devji Bhai Maheshwari was killed was named "Veer Shaheed Devji Bhai
Chowk". Sources said that the activists of BAMCEF and Indian Legal
Professional Association said, this movement will continue till the accused are
hanged. This is not only the murder of the lawyer of Raapar in Gujarat, but the
lawyers of the country have been killed. He said that this movement has not calmed
down yet, we will continue this movement till we get justice. He appealed to
the lawyers across the country and said that no lawyer will fight the case of
Devjibhai's killers.
Please tell that on September 25, 2020, at 6 pm, the Brahmins killed
adv. Devjibhai Maheshwari with a knife. An FIR was lodged against 9 murderers
at around 1.5am in Ropar Thone and demanded that the accused should be arrested
as soon as possible. The police assured to arrest the accused by morning.
However, even after more than 24 hours, the accused could not be arrested.
Hundreds of organizations including Bamsafe, Bharat Mukti Morcha, Bahujan
Kranti Morcha, Indian Legal Professional Association, Bharatiya Vidyarthi
Morcha started agitating protests across Gujarat due to the lax attitude of the
police administration.
Devijibhai's wife refused to take her husband's body and sat on a dharna
at the Raapar police station in Kutch district since the night of 25 September
with thousands of workers. Meenakshi Ben kept saying repeatedly that unless she
gets justice, till the 9 accused are arrested then neither will I take the body
of her husband nor leave from here. As soon as dawn, this movement spread
throughout Gujarat and started raging. In view of the fierce movement, the
police administration came under pressure and till the fourth day of the night
i.e. on September 28, 9 accused were arrested. After this, the body of Devji
Bhai was accepted on the fifth day and the last journey was taken out in 10
tehsils of Kutch, in which lakhs of people attended. @ Nayak1
