मौत का अस्पताल : राजस्थान-कोटा में हर साल होती है हजारों बच्चों की मौत
कोटा के जेके लोन अस्पताल में एक बार फिर बच्चों की मौत का सिलसिला शुरू हो गया है. यहां पिछले 24 घंटे के दौरान नौ नवजात अपनी जान गँवा चुके हैं और हर बार की तरह चिकित्सक और राज्य सरकार लीपापोती में लगी हुई है. गौर करने वाली बात यह है कि जेके लोन अस्पताल में हर साल सैकड़ों बच्चों की मौत हो जाती है, लेकिन प्रशासन सिर्फ टालमटोल के अलावा कुछ नहीं करता. इस रिपोर्ट में जानते हैं कि ‘मौत का अस्पताल’ कैसे बन गया जे के लोन अस्पताल और यहां बच्चों की मौत होने की असल वजह क्या है? साथ ही, इस मसले पर राज्य सरकार और प्रशासन का रुख कैसा रहता है?
ग़ौरतलब है कि कोटा का जे के लोन अस्पताल हर साल सुर्खियों में रहता है और हर बार इसकी वजह नवजात बच्चों की मौत होती है.परिजनों के मुताबिक, अस्पताल की हालत ऐसी है कि यहां सफाई ही नहीं होती, जगह-जगह चूहे घूमते रहते हैं. अस्पताल के शिशु वॉर्ड समेत बाकी वार्डों में खिड़कियों से ठंडी हवा आती रहती है, जिससे बच्चों की हालत बिगड़ जाती है. अस्पताल में संसाधनों की काफी कमी है और जो मशीनें हैं, उनमें से काफी काम ही नहीं करती हैं.
मालूम हो कि बताया जा रहा है कि जेके लोन अस्पताल में सबसे बड़ी दिक्कत डॉक्टरों की कमी है. आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, पिछले साल यहां नवंबर-दिसंबर के दौरान 107 बच्चों ने जान गंवाई थी, जिसके बाद यहां नए चिकित्सक तैनात किए गए थे, लेकिन बाद में उन सभी का तबादला कर दिया गया. इस वक्त एक प्रोफेसर और एक असोसिएट प्रोफेसर के भरोसे पूरा अस्पताल चल रहा है, जो 230 बच्चों की जान का जिम्मा अकेले नहीं उठा सकते हैं.
अस्पताल का स्टाफ बेहद लापरवाह
पिछले 24 घंटे के दौरान जान गंवाने वाले नौ बच्चों के परिजनों का आरोप है कि जेके लोन अस्पताल का स्टाफ बेहद लापरवाह है. रात के वक्त जब बच्चे तड़प रहे थे, तब उसे देखने कोई भी नहीं आया. नर्सिंग स्टाफ ने सुबह डॉक्टर को दिखाने की बात कहकर भगा दिया. परिजनों का आरोप है कि डॉक्टरों को बच्चे की परेशानी बताई गई तो उनका जवाब था कि बच्चा तो रोता ही है. इसके अलावा एक महिला ने कि कर्मचारी ड्रिप लगाकर चाय पीने चले जाते थे, वहां बैठकर हंसी-मजाक करते रहे हैं. अगर कोई कुछ कहते थे तो भी हम पर ही चिल्लाते थे कि आ रहे हैं अभी, मर नहीं रहा तुम्हारा बच्चा.
हर साल होती हैं हजारों बच्चों की मौत
आंकड़ों पर गौर करें तो जेके लोन अस्पताल में हर साल सैकड़ों बच्चे अपनी जान गंवा देते हैं. साल 2014 में यहां कुल 1198 बच्चों की मौत हुई थी और 2015 में यह आंकड़ा 1260 तक पहुंच गया था. 2016 में इस अस्पताल में 1193 बच्चों ने जान गंवाई, जबकि 2017 में 1027 बच्चे काल के गाल में समा गए. 2018 में बच्चों की मौतों की संख्या कम हुई, लेकिन आंकड़ा एक हजार से नीचे नहीं गया. इस साल 1005 बच्चों की मौत हुई. वहीं, 2019 में 963 बच्चों ने अपनी जान गंवाई, जबकि 2020 में 10 दिसंबर तक 917 बच्चों की मौत हो चुकी है.

पुराना अस्पताल है. यहां कोटा, बूंदी, बारां और झालावाड़ से मरीज आते हैं. जब
मरीज ज्यादा गंभीर हो जाता है तो उसे जेके लोन ही भेजा जाता है. बच्चा 3-4 घंटे सफर करके अस्पताल पहुंचता है, जिससे केस बिगड़ जाता है. अस्पताल में
हर महीने करीब 60 से 100 बच्चों की मौत होती है. रोज के लिहाज
