हमारे जीने के लिए सबसे जरूरी चीज ऑक्सीजन यानि O2 की.
छोटी-छोटी बातें भी पढ़ लो. वैज्ञानिकों का दावा है, कि आज से 2.48 अरब साल पहले
वातावरण में oxygen आई थी.पढ़ते
है ऑक्सीजन के बारे में रोचक तथ्य.*

किसने की ?*
*ऑक्सीजन गैस की खोज 1772 में सबसे पहले
स्वीडन के कार्ल विल्हेम शीले (Carl
Wilhelm Scheele ) नाम के वैज्ञानिक ने की थी.*
1. ऑक्सीजन, धरती का तीसरा सबसे
ज्यादा पाया जाने वाला रासायनिक तत्व
(chemical
elememt) है. 1st
पर हाॅइड्रोजन और 2nd
पर हिलियम.
2. वायु में ऑक्सीजन की
मात्रा 21% होना हमारे लिए
वरदान से कम नही है. क्योंकि
30 करोड़ साल पहले, जब ऑक्सीजन 35% थी तब छोटे-छोटे कीड़ो का आकार बहुत बड़ा
होता था.
3. Oxygen gas बिना रंग की, बिना स्वाद की और बिना
गंध की होती है. लेकिन liquid
और solid oxygen हल्के नीले रंग की होती है.

4. हमारे शरीर की 90% एनर्जी ऑक्सीज़न की
वजह से आती है. भोजन, पानी से तो
केवल 10%
मिलती है.
5. हम दिन में लगभग 23,000 बार साँस लेते है.
मतलब, जितना भोजन खाते है
उससे
23 गुना ज्यादा हवा और जितना पानी पीते है उससे 8 गुना ज्यादा हवा साँस के रूप में
लेते है.
6. धरती की पूरी
ऑक्सीजन हर 2,000 साल में एक
बार renew होती है. मतलब, पुरानी
ऑक्सीज़न की जगह नई ऑक्सीज़न आ जाती है. (Oxygen renewed once in every
2,000 years).
7. जीवन के हर 10 साल बाद फेफड़ो की
क्षमता 5% घट जाती है. जिससे
ऑक्सीज़न की
खपत्त कम हो जाती है. लगभग सभी कैंसर ऑक्सीज़न की कमी के कारण शुरू होती
है.
8. हमारे फेफड़ो का कुछ
हिस्सा ऐसा भी है जो साँस ली गई हवा में से ऑक्सीजन
अलग नही कर पाता. इसे मेडिकल
की भाषा में ‘डेड स्पेस’ कहते है.
9. ऑक्सीजन खुद नही
जलती, ये केवल दूसरी चीजों
को जलने में मदद करती है. अगर
ऑक्सीज़न खुद जल सकती तो ये संभव होता कि माचिस की एक तीली जलाते ही
वातावरण में फैली पूरी ऑक्सीज़न में आग लग जाती.
10. नाइट्रोज़न की तुलना
में ऑक्सीज़न पानी में 2 गुणा ज्यादा घुलनशील है. अगर ये
नाइट्रोजन जितनी ही घुलनशील होती तो समुंद्रो, झीलों और नदियों में बहुत कम
ऑक्सीज़न मौजूद होती. जिससे जीवों
की जिंदगी और अधिक कठिन हो जाती.
11. हर जीवित चीज का
लगभग 2/3 (more than 55%) वज़न ऑक्सीज़न
की वजह से
होता है. क्योंकि जीवित चीजों में बहुत अधिक पानी होता है और पानी का 88.9%
वज़न ऑक्सीज़न की
वजह से होता है.
12. पृथ्वी की ऊपरी
सत्तह (जिसे हम curst कहते है और जिसकी मोटाई 30
से 50 km
तक है) का 90% वजन केवल 5 तत्वों की वजह से है. (जिसमें सबसे ज्यादा
आॅक्सीजन (appox. 45%), सिलिकाॅन, ऐल्युमीनियम, लोहा और कैल्शियम
है).
13. ऑक्सीजन गैस
पैरामैग्नेटिक होती है. मतलब, यह चुंबक की तरफ आकर्षित होती
है. लेकिन यह हमेशा ऐसा नही कर पाती. लिक्विड ऑक्सीजन मैग्नेटिक होती है.
मतलब, एक पावरफुल चुंबक के साथ यह चारों तरफ घुमाई जा सकती है. यहाँ तक
कि एक जगह से उठाई भी जा सकती है.
14. तरल ऑक्सीज़न से भरा
स्विमिंग पुल कैसा होगा ? बहुत, बहुत ठंडा होगा. क्योंकि
ऑक्सीजन -183°C पर जाकर लिक्विड में
चेंज होती है.
15. खून में ऑक्सीजन का
सबसे कम स्तर 3.28 किलोपास्कल
दर्ज किया गया है. ये
आंकडा 2009 में पर्वतारोहियों के खून में पाया गया था. वैसे नार्मल आदमी के खून में
ऑक्सीजन का स्तर 12 से 14 किलोपास्कल तक रहता है.
16. धरती पर पहली बार
ऑक्सीज़न के लिए ‘Cyanobacteria’ जिम्मेदार है. ये एक
ऐसा जीव है जो प्रकाश संश्लेष्ण (photosynthesis) कि मदद से काॅर्बनडाॅइऑक्साइड
लेता है और ऑक्सीजन छोड़ता है. बिल्कुल पेड़-पौधों की तरह.

17. केकड़े के खून का रंग साफ होता है, लेकिन ऑक्सीजन के संपर्क में आते ही नीला
हो जाता है.
18. यदि किसी डेड बाॅडी
को ठंडे और बिना ऑक्सीजन वाले स्थान पर रख दिया जाए
तो यह बाॅडी पिघले हुए मोम की तरह बन जाएगी. जो साबुन की तरह बिल्कुल चिकनी
होगी.
19. हवाई जहाजों में जो
आपातकालीन ऑक्सीज़न माॅस्क दिया जाता है उससे आज तक
एक भी जीवन नही बच पाया है.
20. अपनी जिंदगी के
आखिरी दिनों में स्टीव जाॅब्स (founder of
Apple) ने ऑक्सीजन
माॅस्क पहनने से इंकार कर दिया था, क्योंकि उन्हें इसका डिजाइन पसंद नही आया था.
